Poland: Talks on Georgia’s EU integration Posted on: 11-03-2015

Polish Undersecretary of State Henryka Mościcka-Dendys has met with David Bakradze, Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, with whom she discussed the implementation of the Association Agreement, and Georgia’s integration with the European Union. The meeting took place in Warsaw on 16 February.

“Georgia is a leading Eastern Partnership country and the trailblazer of European integration in the South Caucasus,” emphasized Deputy Minister Mościcka-Dendys.

The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy spoke about EU initiatives the aim of which is to  support the process of EU integration. She highlighted the significance of implementing the AA/DCFTA, which Georgia and the EU concluded in June 2014.

The meeting’s agenda also featured security policy issues, including NATO-Georgia cooperation. Moreover, the officials discussed the EU’s and EaP countries’ expectations ahead of the forthcoming EaP summit, which will be held in Riga on 21 and 22 May.
