Norway turns away more illegal immigrants Posted on: 06-05-2014

The number of forced returns from Norway increased by 25% in 2013 compared to 2012. 11,200 asylum applications filed, especially from immigrants coming from Eritrea, Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan and Sudan. Of which, 1,000 minors, an increase equal to +13% compared to 2012. These are just a few data contained in the IOM Report for Norway that can’t give any further details on irregular immigration, in terms of both entry and residence. However, the problem exists, particularly in the major cities with a relatively large population of immigrants and less social transparency than in towns and smaller communities.
