It will be easier for Ukrainians to travel to Denmark, said the Head of the Foreign Ministry of this country.
Denmark and Ukraine have signed the agreement on visa facilitation, and agreed to establish a joint energy center.
“Denmark has always been one of the driving forces of our support within the EU. And the fact that today we have signed an agreement on visa facilitation, is the evidence of this support,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin at a press conference with Foreign Minister of Denmark Martin Lidegaard in Kyiv.
In turn Lidegaard said that the new agreement on visa facilitation “is symbolic, because it will make it easier for the Ukrainians to travel to Denmark.”
Klimkin has also said he planned to sign an agreement on the establishment of the Danish Energy Centre – a specialized bilateral energy center at the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry considered it realistic to get visa-free regime with the EUduring the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga in May 2015.
