The governor of Thailand's Tourism Authority (TAT), Thapanee Kiatphaibool, welcomed the first group of Indian tourists traveling without a visa, stating that although China and Kazakhstan had a three-month visa exemption, India had a six-month one. "If we get good feedback from tour operators and travelers, we will ask the cabinet to approve more," she added.
