Employment Opportunities in the USA During Study (On F1 Visa)

Maximum duration of OPT for all undergraduate and graduate STEM programs is 36 months Maximum duration of OPT for all other (non- STEM) undergraduate and graduate programs is 12 Months.

  • Students can work part time on campus for 20 hours per week during studies.
  • Curriculum Practical Training (CPT): Few universities in the USA offer CPT (internship) as a part of course. Maximum duration for CPT is 9 months.
